How filter life works
The pre-filter takes the particulate load (change every 2 weeks–2 months), the HEPA H14 main stage lasts 4–6 months, and the treated-carbon bed runs 3–4 months under typical odor loads. Heavy MDF and rubber cutting shortens pre-filter life the most.
Ways to spend less
1) Never run without a pre-filter — it's the cheapest stage and protects the expensive H14.
2) Order several sets at once and ask for tiered volume pricing.
3) Modular replacement: only swap the stage that's spent, not the whole stack.
